eTwinning Ambassador’s Project Third in Poland

Smart Cities Now and in 2040 project was awarded and ranked among the best seventeen international projects carried out by eTwinning ambassadors in Poland in the 2020/2021 school year, which was done in a complete lockdown.

At Nasz Projekt eTwinning 2022 award ceremony for project coordinators and head teachers of the honoured schools, the project coordinator and eTwinning ambassador in Poland Anna Pławecka received diplomas, congratulations and a statuette.

Out of hundreds of international projects conducted in schools and kindergartens in our country, 20 projects were awarded in the competition in five main categories i.e. age categories and additional categories.

The project concerned smart cities. The students’ task was to investigate to what extent cities in their countries have introduced smart solutions in different spheres of public and private life and then to compare these innovations with particular partner countries. The project participants then worked in international groups to develop ideas for the next steps in the digitalisation of their cities.

Pupils created a vision of a smart city in 2040 including facilities for people with disabilities. With these ideas and proposals, the pupils went to institutions and offices in their own city, and during discussions with their representatives, explored the possibility of introducing their ideas on the local ground, and consequently applying them in the city’s development strategy.
The prize-winning students active in the project are:
from class 3AP: Weronika Biel, Paweł Duda, Bartosz Guzik, Zuzanna Horwacik, Aleksander Jóźwik, Kacper Kasprzyk, Mateusz Łasaj, Michał Małocha, Mateusz Nowak, Łukasz Nowak, Krzysztof Ślęczek, Julia Woskowicz.
